Where can I get the Squeeze installer?

Do I need to activate the trial version of Squeeze?

No, you do not need to activate the trial version of Squeeze.

Remember that the trial version of Squeeze will expire in 30 days and will leave a Sorenson watermark on all your output files.

How do I activate Squeeze 6?

If you are connected to the internet simply follow the prompts in the installer to activate Squeeze.

If you are NOT connect to the web follow these steps:
1. After entering your Squeeze Serial Number in the installer the next screen will show you your Serial Number and a CID code.
2. Write down (or copy and paste into a text document) your Serial Number and CID Code.
**NOTE: There are no o's only zeroes in the CID code**
3. Create an Activation Key on this web page: www.sorensonmedia.com/registration
4. Copy and paste the Activation Key into the empty field and press "Validate Key"
5. At the prompt "Valid Key press 'Finish'" press the "Finish" button.

How do I activate Squeeze 5?

If you are connected to the web simply follow the prompts in the Activation Window.
1. Select "Yes, I am connected to the internet" and click "Next"
2. Enter your information - at least a first and last name and email and click "Next"
3. At the prompt "Valid Key press 'Finish'" press the "Finish" button.

If you are NOT connect to the web follow these steps:
1. Select "No, I will do my activation from another computer." The next screen will show you your serial key and a CID code.
2. Write down (or copy and paste into a text document) your Serial Number and CID Code.
**NOTE: There are no o's only zeroes in the CID code**
3. Create an Activation Key on this web page: www.sorensonmedia.com/registration
4. Copy and paste the Activation Key in the empty field and press "Validate Key"
5. At the prompt "Valid Key press 'Finish'" press the "Finish" button.

Do I need to activate Squeeze 4 and earlier?

No, Squeeze 4 and earlier does not need to be activated, however, some versions of Squeeze 4 and earlier do need a Registration Key.

Why do I get an error saying my “Activation key is not valid?"

If you manually activated Squeeze by entering your serial number and CID code here: www.sorensonmedia.com/registration/ there may have been an error when entering the CID code. **NOTE: There are no o's only zeroes in the CID code**

Also, check the characters in the Activation Key to make sure they have been entered correctly.

Why am I getting an “Invalid serial number error?”

The most common reason for this error is adding extra characters to the serial key.

Common examples are adding the beginning of the BIAS SoundSoap serial key to the end of the Squeeze serial key. Also entering a space or an underscore instead of a dash between the groups of characters in the serial.

The serial key should be five groups of six alpha-numeric characters each separated by a dash.

Make sure that you are using a unique key as Squeeze is network aware and will not allow you to install if you are running another computer with the same key.

How do I move my copy of Squeeze from one machine to another?

When you would like to install Squeeze on another computer you must first deactivate your previous copy of Squeeze by going to the Help menu in Squeeze and click 'Deactivate Squeeze.'

Once your previous copy of Squeeze is deactivated you will be able to re-install.
